Purposefully and thoughtfully designed, the Infant Care environment is a home away from home, where each baby and infant is truly cared for, just as they would be at home, as they learn, explore and grow.

We acknowledge that a predictable learning environment and consistent routines allow an infant to feel a deeper sense of security and belonging. We offer a safe, challenging, yet predictable and comfortable environment that responds to your infant’s development.

As Educarers, our role is to create an environment in which your infant can best do all the things that they would naturally. We offer children plenty of time for uninterrupted play and we appreciate an infant’s innate desire to move and explore in their own time and in their own unique way. Our dedicated teachers plan learning engagements which extend on children’s interests and developmental needs through the use of an emergent curriculum.

Our Infant Care Pod is an intimate space that is located within a secure floor of the school’s purpose-built, world-class Early Learning Village. The Infant Care Pod is designed specifically for babies and toddlers to provide a stimulating, safe space for children to learn, explore and grow.

Staffed by well qualified and experienced carers and educators, Infant Care at the Early Learning Village offers families a unique space in which to care for and support the development of their little ones. Throughout the day children get to enjoy a variety of environments such as:

  Koala 1 and 2 Classrooms

  Koala 1 and 2 Sleeprooms

  Pod area as the extension to children’s classrooms

  Balcony – sheltered outdoor play with two sandpits and water play

  Sensory room

  *Nursing room for breast-feeding mommies

We offer two mixed age group learning environments where infants of different ages and stages of development can play, interact and learn alongside each other. Our dedicated team provides personalized care for each child and respectfully follows the biological rhythm and cues of the infant. Children are encouraged to flow between the learning environments, taking advantage of their growing agency and new-found independence.
