The Australian International School Parents’ Association (AISPA) is the heart of our school community. Led by a volunteer Committee, AISPA membership comprises all parents and guardians of current students at AIS.
AISPA’s objectives are to promote community spirit, support students, collaborate, advocate and ensure sustainable governance. AISPA has a number of roles to fulfil. Our key roles are:
- Connector – AISPA connects parents through hosting events, facilitating special interest groups, providing support to year and country representatives and supporting Singapore charities through our Pre-Loved Uniform Shop.
- Supporter – Support is provided to AIS students for fundraising activities and for the promotion of student wellbeing, and to families facing special circumstances, including in times of crisis.
- Collaborator – Liaises with the school leadership in the exchange of views and ideas.
- Advocator – Advocates on behalf of the parent group with the school leadership in relation to trending issues.
- Administrator – Manages the day to day running and governance of the parents association.
We know that all of our parents are busy with the demands of everyday life, but we also know that even a small contribution of your time and energy can significantly contribute to our efforts to foster a vibrant and nurturing community. I encourage you to get involved by attending our events and various activity groups, volunteering, sharing resources and imparting your own cultural experiences with our families.
Classlist is AISPA’s parent communication platform. Please sign up to Classlist where you will be placed into your child’s parent year group. You may also elect to join a group of interest to you (Bootcamp, Tennis, Sketchers, Dads, Adventurers) and your home country group.
